“If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.”
–Emily Dickinson
A graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Carolyn Keefe studied photography and writing. She believes that a talented creative can combine words, photographs, and design elements in such a way as to compel a boulder up a hill.
A sense of adventure brought Keefe to the mountains of eastern Idaho. A talented storyteller and failed potter, Keefe aspires to approach new things with humor, curiosity, and kindness.
Keefe takes joy in trail running long distances in bear country. Weekends are spent exploring dirt paths that traverse Teton National Park and Yellowstone. Surviving and enjoying ultra-marathon distances emboldens Keefe. She thinks she can do anything. She has not yet crafted a phrase that could oblige a boulder to roll up a hill, but her optimism persists.
